I plan to use formalin for fumigation, so I need to know whether it affects the finished goods and raw materials.
I never have a case of a pest which obligates the companies to make a fumigation. If it is your case is necessary first you find the reason of the infestation. No any chemical is recommended to use directly on the equipments, it is prefereable you clean and stablish periferical controls fot the insects and other pests. The formaldehyde is a dangerous compound, if is really necessary you fumigate then use pyrethrins, but I insist use it periferically not directly to the machinery if this is in direct contact with food.
