There are various RNA stabilization solutions that you can employ in preserving RNA prior to extraction. 'RNAlater' is one such product that is known to maintain nucleic acids effectively for four weeks. 'PAXgene' is another such product for molecular quality insurance. 'Allprotect' has also been noted to be used as good quality RNA extraction following better preservation.
