Some of the countries have already been incorporating the sustainability measures in the zoning/building regulations and have already formulated the guidelines and implementation mechanism for the same, but the developing countries like India are yet to formulate an effective regulatory mechanism for the same. My question is has there been any further changes/modifications/amendments or some new developments in some countries in this regard in wake of UN SDG (Transforming our world: the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development) or the Paris Summit on climate change (COP 21).
Hi! To answer I say that Town planning projects would be more adequate and relevant if we take into consideration vulnerability, resilience, adaptation in mitigating climate change effects on urban areas!!

I also agree that Town Planning Projects or city planning is a mechanism to mitigate the effects of climate change in an urban area.... but if we descend down to the micro-level and also for implementation of the master plans then we have the mechanism of zoning or development controls or building regulations. so my question here is aimed at identifying the various changes or amendments in these guidelines to incorporate various measures of sustainability if they were not there, or some enhancements have been done in the existing regulations.

Urban matters are not the only ones to be taken into account, but also building ones are very important! As far as I know in Italy nothing has been done yet.
