What is a valid tool to appraise risk of bias for pharmaco-epidemiological studies?

Hello, I'd like to know what is a valid tool to appraise for risk of bias for pharmaco-epidemiological studies including active and passive surveillance. I think many of the extensively used tool to appraise epidemiological studies are not suitable.

What I think is Dithiothreitol. As it is water-soluble and does not form a precipitate. But, the thing is it contains sulphur which is quite hazardous to aquatic animals.
