Hey everyone,
We are exposing adult female mice to a neurotoxicant via oral gavage for roughly a week and would like to take blood samples throughout the week of exposure to assess toxin levels in the blood. What is the simplest/best blood collection method we could repeatedly use on a female, adult mouse that won't severely cause injury?

Two methods come up in my mind.
One is blood sampling from the orbital vein. Anesthetize with isoflurane and collect a small amount of blood with an insulin syringe.
The other is blood sampling from the tail. Cut the blood vessel with a razor, collect about 50 microL with Eppendorf, and stop bleeding with instant adhesive.
