The term "pathological movement" is sometimes used, but in my opinion it should be avoided based on the ICF model. Pathology can cause an impairment in movement (a bodily function), which can then limit the performance of various activities (eg, gait). Moreover, activity limitations can lead to impairments which can contribute to the development of pathology; but movement and pathology should not be conjoined.
Painful movement and also the one with paretic muscles are pathological. Probably the movements which are passive but occurring as a result of passive movement in situations of sensory loss can be pathological. Also those which are painless but after administration of some external agent to reduce just the pain and not the pathology.
