I am a first year PhD student at the University of Malta. I graduated in Mechanical Engineering with First Class Honours, and in my PhD project, I will be focusing on computer simulations of graphene to investigate the mechanical behaviour of graphene sheets under various loading conditions. Furthermore, I am training myself on the operation of an ultra high vacuum facility with main focus on AFM and STM operation. This will lead to experimentally investigating graphene samples, in parallel to computer simulations. Is there any internships or traineeships available related to my project?
