I am studying a series of thin film samples with different surface roughness. I have obtained mesh like and stripe like domain patterns in these samples. All the films are ferromagnetic at room temperature. As part of analysis when I took the FFT of the MFM images of these films in two cases I obtained four dots (set as if occupying four corners of a rhombus), in third one however I obtained an equi-spaced fringe like pattern. I need help to interpret these FFT images...
FFT provides statistical information on the typical size of periodic structures.
