I was wondering how much the sensory input is influenced by the motor output. i.e. the less motor i am the more sensory i can be. Is there any research out there that might give an answer to my question?

The article addresses technical and perceptual considerations of palpation skills: Aubin et al., The seven-step palpation method: A proposal to improve palpation skills, International Journal of Osteopathic Medicine (2013), http://dx.doi.org/10.1016/j.ijosm.2013.02.001
