I used a nafion 117 for membrane and Ir-Ta for anode and cathode For water electrolysis (tritium enrichment in old water). Dimensions of electrodes are 2.5*2.5cm. First, I used 15 V then decreased to 4 V as a result of this current density became 0.185 A/cm2. I did not use cell for keeping electrode and membrane.As you see in the picture, the membrane is like that. What can be the cause?must I use tight cell?
