The "terms" are still in use but not with that focus and have seized to be the terms instead suggestion as "bootstrapping or boot the computer/program etc.! They have also shifted their residence in terms of topics zone from the natural philosophy/physics to more in computer programming. American theoretical physicist, Geoffrey Foucar Chew, is known for his bootstrap theory of strong interactions dealing at the quantum levels. In contemporary present-time, the notion has been  nearly out except at the higher echelons of the physics and physicist in the sub-atomic particle physics. The 'sacred geometry' of previous thinkers/believers, illusionary reality, and universal consciousness are still lingering upon, though have also faded out as term or expression of the thought and notion as well as inception of the notion for holographic world-view!
