I'm looking for some equipment (ultrasonic probe) which I want apply in organic synthesis (mostly). Do you know some devices in which I can control the output frequency of ultrasounds?
There are numerous different manufacturers. For lab scale I have used Sonics, and for pilot scale I have used Hielscher. Both scales can have different tip sizes, giving different powers.
However, they both used a fixed frequency, but a variable amplitude to allow variation of the applied power.
Hope this helps and let me let me know if you need more information,
Using the conventional sonochemical cleaner available in most of the laboratories is an artwork. You have to fill up water up to certain level in the main body of the vessel and dip your reaction vessel up to certain level to get the appropriate cavitational effect. The surface motion is clearly can be seen if you have some heterogeneous particle dancing around. If optimum conditions are not met, you may not get any sonochemical effect.
The probe-type sonochemical equipment is more reliable and can adjust frequency etc.
