Effectuation is a popular concept in entrepreneurship and an important way to think about entrepreneurship (Gupta, Chiles and McMullen 2016). It was discovered through lab experiments with expert entrepreneur by Sarasvathy (2001). Aside from the 10 papers in Grégoire and Cherchem (2020) do you know of papers that been published confirming empirical observations “in the wild” of effectual manifestations or the limitations thereof?

Sarasvathy found that effectual behavior is especially pronounced early in the entrepreneurial process when uncertainty is especially high. Do you know of papers that have further investigated if effectuation is easier to observe in certain contexts (technologies, industries, regions, demographics, etc.)?
