I`m planning to do a research on spiders in our local reserve.Due to the limited knowledge,I will study the abundance first. But I still want to study more withing future access to Molecule Biology or Physiology.I need some suggestions about research topics beyond ecology.

Hello Nagabhatia, thanks for your answer first. I searched some information on the Internet yesterday and figured out most researchers do the work associated with agrobiodiversity and pest mangement.But our local reserve is a mountainous reserve, so I`m afraid things will be a little different.Acutually , I`m thinking if there is possibilty that I can do the research by comparing the diversity difference on spiders and city`s metallic effect on spiders. Angel, the local reserve looks very beautiful, I am sure it’s a biodiversity heaven. There will be references on phytosociological analysis available to help u follow your objectives. We also looked into impact of land use land cover change on the diversity of spider species
This reserve is a national-level reserve in our city.Lanzhou is kind of a industrial city and lies in the north west of China,so a reserve with a huge biodiversity becomes very important.But it seems that most reserchers here focus on the study of alpine musk deer and almost no one has done some study concerned with spiders.There are 89 species of spiders accrording to the Internet.I`m sure there are so many unknow topics to study. Such as the richness of soil and impact on spiders(The ingredients of soil in sunny and shadier areas are different.)and the vegetational type(I once did a field practice study like this in Thousand island lake in Hangzhou this summer)etc.
But the program I want to apply for has a lot of limitations.Every study needs to be done by only one person.So I have to think a lot about the feasibility.
