using the electric motor of a ceiling fan and passing a wire carrying current through the middle of the motor. what effect will the the wire carrying current have on the flux generated by the motor? will that not have a negative effective of the electromagnetic field?
In principle, the effect will be negative due to the fact that the electromagnetic field optimized for the motor will be perturbed. In practice, if the current carried by the wire is of the same order of magnitude of that flowing in the motor winding, the perturbation will be negligeable. Further considerations need detailed electromagnetic data.

A small addition to the answer of P. A. Rolla. Currents flow through two wires in opposite directions. Their fields largely cancel each other out. The resulting impact on the motor will be negligible.

The current carrying conductor con affect the magnetic component of the electromagnetic field. This perturbation may be positive or negative will depend upon the direction of current in conductor.
