What does it mean to have non significant results in 2x 2 factorial anova?

Hi there,

I have conducted a 2x2 factorial anova and was surprised to see non significant results for interaction as well as for the first main effect and second main effect. How do I interpret it? I couldn't find samples outlining such results. I would truly appreciate some help here. Thank you.

I think there is not much you can do. A not significant result is not evidence for your null-hypothesis.

I would calculate Power (which should be done a priori) and effect sizes and interpret this together what you can get out of it.
