Dear colleagues, I am currently working on a manuscript addressing CIED pocket irrigation. I am looking into metanalyses regarding antiseptic and antibiotic solutions inside the pacemaker-pocket. Although approx. 60-80% of CIED implanting centres are using something inside the pocket, there is almost no literature on this matter. Solutions I am looking into are ethanol, PVP-iodine, chlorhexidine, polyhexanide, octenidine, taurolidine, hypochlorous acid, hydrogen peroxide and antibiotic solutions/sponges/envelopes.

I am familiar with big trials like PADIT, WRAPT-IT and the following:

Do you have suggestions? Are you among the centres using something inside the pocket?

What are you using?

Thank you.
