What I know about Brazil--as a Latin American country with mixed-races, racial discrimination is intensive, and affirmative action to address racial discrimination has largely been failed! Brazil is also the country, outside African continent, where the majority of the African-origin population live in.
Please share what you know about this country with us!
Brazil is one of the best places to live in the world, in terms of climate and natural resources. Humans should work hard to merit such a great country.
Hi H M Ashraf Ali, thanks for your valuable answer.
Yes, you are right. But I would not say affirmative actions have completely failed. A lot of black young was going to the University and got qualified jobs. Unfortunately, this scenario seems it will change. Because right now, it starts to break this scenario with the new president and his team. On the other hand, black young have been the target of the police been beaten and being seen as a threat to society. We can not let to say, this is a fruit of the historical inequality the country had lived.
As Antony Last
said, Brazil is now under new "patriotic" leadership. But he is not as patriotic as he made the most part of the Brazilian people believe. He was elected under a huge volume of fake news from WhatsApp, attacking the other party (Labor Party) as if this party had created the corruption, and appealing to a moral agenda (plus absurds, weird, and impossible to believe, because every ideas and arguments were coming through fake news). He believes Brazil is a socialist country; believes, as well, Amazon must be exploited and not preserved. He hails a torturer from Dictatorship, and he is not against corruption as he spread during the rallies and campaign. All his team is aligned with what he thinks. The Chancellor believes the climatical changes was an invention of Karl Marx. The Education Minister told superior education is not to everybody. The Justice Minister is selective processing some corrupt politicians and letting others free. So, as a country with a so unequal scenario, this team and his leadership are not the best thing that happened in Brazil the last year and now. The most part of people here really would like he was a true patriot.
Yes, Brazil is the biggest country in South America and has the largest and most developed city in the region - São Paulo. We have as well larger petrol reserves and the chance to grow up as never before. We are famous with football teams, but we are better to release the skilled soccer players to the world like Ronaldo – as Muhammad Abdullah Avais said –, Ronaldinho Gaucho, Rivaldo, Kaka, Roberto Carlos, Neymar, Marcelo, and so on. They just return to us at the end of their careers. We are also famous for our hospitality, even though the country being so violent.
Hi Ardian Muhaj , thank you for your valuable response.
For sure we have an amazing climate and huge natural resources like petroleum, the Amazon, a huge quantity of clean water, minerals, a huge coast. But we have a lot of problem with the view of the politicians regard the environment preservation and the right use of natural resources.
Coffee. Soccer/Pele. Carnival in Rio. Amazon rainforest in danger. Astrud Gilberto. Girl from Ipanema. Embraer. Last refuge of the one and only classic VW Beetle,
Brazil has the largest Amazon rainforest resource on Earth characterized by extremely high biological biodiversity of ecosystems. These resources should be protected because they are one of the most important natural biological resources of natural ecosystems on Earth. The issue of environmental protection is growing in the context of the advancing global warming process.
In the context of the progressive warming of the Earth's climate, the following question is of particular importance:
What institutional and social measures should be used to effectively protect the tropical Amazon forest from its devastation?
The Amazon rain forest produces about 60 percent. global oxygen production necessary for the life of many different life forms on Earth, including humans and animals.
However, for several dozen years, Amazonia has been successively torn from tree stands. There are many known cases of killing indigenous peoples, Native Americans who try to protect the Amazon by devastation.
Fenced areas of the forest are quickly cut down, where the soil after tree felling is quickly eroded and reclamation of the degraded ecosystem is very difficult and in many areas impossible.
The Amazon rainforest is a globally unique ecosystem in which millions of different species of flora and fauna, unknown, not found in other regions of the world, live in natural biological balance.
these ecosystems were created for millions of years, they are unique, one of the greatest biologically treasurers of planet Earth, and man very quickly destroys this unique, species-rich ecosystem.
Progressing fast felling of trees and destruction are basically irreversible. Sometimes to cut a unique specimen of a tree, which grows for 100, 200 and more years, cutting machines, sawmill destroy many other trees only for the purpose of forming an access road for tartar machines to a specific, large, cut tree.
This is the economy of devastation and destruction of unique natural resources, species-rich ecosystems.
Paradoxically, man is responsible for this in the era of the 21st century civilization, it is very sad.
How to solve this problem, to change the economy of devastation into an ecological economy and to protect the unique resources of Amazonian ecosystems?
Time passes, and successively there is less and less time to solve this problem and find a way out of this patency sytauacji, the vicious circle of industrial exploitation, including the devastation of unique forest resources, rich in millions of species of natural Amazonian ecosystems.
If in the 21st century this problem is not effectively solved, subsequent generations of people will have much bigger problems in the matter of existence and life on Earth.
If in the 21st century mankind does not stop the progressing greenhouse effect on Earth and the devastating, predatory economy of forest clearing of the Amazon rainforest, then humanity in the XXII century will no longer have the conditions possible to survive on Earth.
Still after many years, the question is: What institutional and social measures should be used to effectively protect the tropical Amazon forest before its devastation?
What do you need to do to limit the devastation of the Amazon rain forest?
The Amazon rainforest is the largest complex of the natural forest ecosystem producing 60% oxygen on Earth, these are the lungs of the planet Earth.
In addition, it is a natural complex of forest ecosystem with rich biodiversity.
In these Amazonian ecosystems there are still many, millions of species of flora and fauna that have not yet been fully discovered or described.
The scale of felling and thinning stands in the Amazon's forest is so large that every day the scale of this unique biodiversity decreases and many species of living organisms cease to exist.
Human civilization in this way destroys one of the greatest achievements in the development of life, the evolution of ecosystems on Earth.
This is a very serious problem to solve in the 21st century.
Therefore, I am addressing you with an important question: What should you do to limit the devastation of Amazon rainforests?
