Translucent concrete (also: light-transmitting concrete) is a concrete based building material with light-transmissive properties due to embedded light optical elements — usually optical fibers. Transparent concrete was originally developed in 2001 by a Hungarian architect Aronlosonzi by using glass fibers. Transparent concrete is produced by mixing 4% to 5% (by volume) optical fibers in the concrete mixture. This concrete has less weight compared to original concrete.
Green concrete or sustainability concrete have the same concept, which is the concrete used in the production of materials from waste recycling. The goal of the production of green concrete is to reduce pollution and reduce the depletion of natural resources.

I want to add as regards its compressive strength of translucent concrete. It has been proved that the strength of conventional concrete and that of translucent concrete is the same.It can transmit the sunlight passing through it without any dissipation of energy. This type of concrete is thus energy saving and used in Green Buildings.
