Biotechnology is one of the finest art I have ever seen. It has the potential to unreveal the secrets of nature and will keep on benefitting mankind not only at present times but also in the future.
Biotechnology has shown it's presence in scientific research by providing the state-of-the-art technology like gene sequencing (Sanger sequencing, NGS platforms), cell and tissue culture, fermentation technology, biosensors and so on.
In medicine it has improved the quality of diagnosis and treatment of diseases. For instance, mutation analysis by molecular biology techniques and newer treatments that are being worked out, especially in the field of cancer.
In the agriculture sector, biotechnology has helped to improve the quality of crops as well as increased yields in order to meet the needs of the growing population. In addition, hybrid technology is another classic piece of work of biotechnology.
Last but not the least, biotechnology has played a major role in waste management and to combat pollution which has become a major problem for the world today.
