Universities and colleges are following different assessment/evaluation strategies for the final semester students for declining their consolidated results during this COVID19 Lockdown. Some are going for online tests, some other for opting for online test with open books, some for online interview, some are awarding average grades of all earlier semesters, etc. There is no uniform pattern. Under these circumstances, what do you consider to be the best method of assessment/evaluation for the final semester students for declaring their consolidated results during this COVID19 Lockdow.
The assessment strategies may vary based on subject. in some subjects MCQs may be adopted while other needs assessment like Open Book Examination.
I think that if it is mandatory to keep the distance evaluation/assessment for the second semester, I suggest the following evaluation method, which takes into account:
- Personal work 40%: an assignment, a presentation, exercises to be resolved ..., and
- An online exam 60%: composed of a set of multiple choice questions for example, with a limitation of the response time-short- to avoid cheating and plagiarism.

Deepak, the crisis caused by the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic has signalled that organisations, including higher education institutions, have to adapt in order to survive. Such adaptation includes making the necessary adjustments to their teaching, learning, assessment and grading requirements insofar as due process and academic protocols are adhered to. These measures include consultations with all stakeholders in order to ascertain what is 'best' within specific contexts. Interesting times.

As per my opinion it will be wrong to promote students to the next class without taking their examination. We can assess them through MAPIT, MOODLE or any other online examination platform. Only then students will attend online classes attentively and seriously.
La verdad es muy complicado optar por una sola forma de evaluación, considero que la evaluación final deberá hacerse a partir de la evaluación de las tareas realizadas a lo largo del semestre o ciclo escolar, lo que implica mayor trabajo por parte del profesor, de la misma forma deberán considerarse cuáles serán las tareas que propicien mayores aprendizajes, en plural, es decir, que no solamente se limiten a un resultado de aprendizaje sino que con esa tarea se pueden evaluar diferentes resultados de aprendizaje, esto deberá planearse cuidadosamente con anticipación, dejando pocas tareas pero con objetivos de aprendizaje bien estipulados.
La pandemia nos agarró desprevenidos en este aspecto a la mayoría de los profesores, independientemente de que estuviéramos realizando actividades que favorecieran en el estudiante su autoaprendizaje, dado que lo hacíamos esencialmente de forma presencial.

That's a very interesting question. I don't think there is a general answer because there are different curricula and final examinations to which all tests should be adapted. The different subjects also have different requirements. Also fraud should not be possible.
In Germany, our state examinations are a combination of in-person multiple choice tests and oral examination, partly with practical components. In most of our federal states, the exams were carried out almost normally - they used much more rooms to comply with the distance rules. In one federal state they even rented a complete (empty) hotel, and every student had his own room randomly allocated each day. When entering the hotel, all mobile phones etc. were confiscated. Oral exams were taken in large lecture halls without spectators.
There are many alternative ways: in clinical subjects, case studies or online tests can be done as homework, but how can be insured that the student did it himself? Oral exams can also be done as video conference.
I believe the best way will be the usual way. The students prepared for months for their tests and exams, and every change means disruption.
Considero que no hay un mejor método de evaluación. Esto va a depender de los documentos normativos existentes o los que se puedan adecuar a las actuales circunstancias de bloqueo por COVID-19.
En opinión personal es que el estudiante elabore un trabajo aplicativo utilizando herramientas de la carrera profesional, que permitan resolver un problema de una línea de carrera, referenciando fuentes de trabajos de investigación afines y sus aportes personales, para ver su grado de originalidad; este trabajo de investigación debe ser sustentado en línea con un tiempo asignado y con una terna de jurado que independientemente evalúen sus competencias. Esto permitirá ver si alcanzó las competencias profesionales establecidos en el perfil de egresado de su universidad y carrera profesional.
