Being a teacher is not easy, because it requires you to have some formal training and that during your academic career you do many multidisciplinary activities, as teaching, and do it well, being a good educator; assess and develop students; perform research activities of certain level; publish research papers in academic journals and be cited by your peers; transfer knowledge to society, etc. But the good thing is that this way you improve as a profesor, and your scientific curriculum gets more competitive, that at the end are what universities come to seek in their academic staff.
