Hi all,

I am aware that EDC NHS reaction is carried out mainly for amine coupling with activated carboxyl groups. However, I have also read that it can be used for OH group coupling to form ester. It is known that as long as you have hydrogen bond donors such as SH, the reaction may succeed. May I check if the possession of -NH bond (particularly the pyrollic nitrogen) can yield a successful EDC NHS reaction? Kindly refer to the attached screenshot for an image of the molecule containing the pyrollic nitrogen.

Thank you!!
