I've read through the paper you sent. My question is on adsorption temperature not activation temperature.

Activated carbon from agricultural waste reduces in adsorption capacity as the temperature during adsorption increases

What can be done to allow for increase in temperature leading to increase in adsorption capacity or better still knowing the temperature line at which there is a maximum adsorption (i.e, temperature above ambient)

You can try also hydrothermal method treatment
