I use ammonium polyphosphate (APP), red phosphorus (RP) and expandable graphite (EG) in an experiment.
The materials which contain a little bit water are mixed and heated at about 180°C for 5 to 10 minutes.
During the experiment the mixture has the chance to contact the air.
Which chemical or physical reactions can occur in this experiment?
This is my first question in research gate. I will be grateful if someone could give me an answer.

The answer of Fabrizio shows how risk can be the execution of experiments without a previous literature review: strong exothermic reactions need special conditions to allow energy dissipation, otherwise some violent reaction can occur.
