personal health records can be designed in many circumstances (e.g. integrated with EMRs,EHRs or can be stand-alone) and many aspects (e.g. sharing,improvment communications and so on)
what is unknown for me is "what is key aspects of the ePHRs architecture ?" or "is there categourical approaches to explain PHR architecture in different aspects?"

I developed an electronic medical record independently. I prefer to use client-server architecture.
If there is integration with other systems, choosing the database management system is more important. I prefer to use MySQL/MariaDB or Postgree (DataBase) with PHP or Java (JSP) for programmming language.
