Hello, depends from where you isolate the bacteria. Identification of bacteria can be done even by biochemical way which is similar to API test or by molecular biology way by PCR technique by the use of set of primers or by 16s RNA sequencing etc.
Hi Emmanuel Sokefun there have been developments in DNA-dipstick technology to determine bacteria in drinking water, but alas they are going nowhere in this current administration.

Advanced test like PCR or any other molecular technique may help to differentiate them beyond biochemical test.If you know any other biochemical test other than those listed is good.
