I have been using a gram positive bacteria to elicit an immune response. I had been using live bacteria but I needed to switch to non-replicating. I used UV irradiation on the bacteria. I ran Western Blots on the hyperimmunized serum and I get the same bands from serum that was immunized with the live and with the "attenuated" bacteria (assuming I am getting the same IgG) but I need to prove the UV irradiated bacteria has emained structurally intact. Any ideas? Thank you in advance!!
