Teaching by principles is the trend of teaching and learning English language. Therefore, each teacher should know his or her teaching principles very well.
In my opinion, autonomous learning is one of the most important things nowadays, raising motivation and curiosity is the key because the information is highly available thanks to modern technology. If the learners are adequately motivated they will learn anything they want and achieve goals even beyond the aimed ones.
It's difficult to apply the same strategies to students with varying skills and abilities so I think being flexible with your teaching is really important. Also, formative assessment is integral to students learning. Currently, my research focuses on dynamic assessment, which combines assessment and teaching in an integrated activity. The assessment part was really helpful in knowing about students' strengths and weaknesses and was important for making decisions regarding how to best support students.
In my experience, I think constructivism and social constructivism, whereby one applies any means (can be creative) which works for the diversity in your classroom to allow them to construct knowledge, understanding and make sense of the concepts (themselves). I like social constructivism, as it allows a team to put together ideas and build on them through debate and argument (builds teamwork and human factor skills). Good facilitation skills (from teacher/lecturer) are essential for this to work.
My answer to this question is to engage your students. As an Instructional Designer teaching and courses are never final. Your students bring knowledge especially in higher education. Teachers also should be open to include trending issues in their teaching as well as providing resources for students to use in real life.
As an educator, I believe that teaching can and should be authentic and tailored to meet the learner where they are. Teaching is student centered and at the core of it all is aiming to ignite the love of learning and to peak curiosity, so that far beyond your role, the learner will continue to seek answers to the many aspects of learning across the disciplines!
Nowadays,student-centered is being imposed especifically in the Philippines. Teachers were the only facilitators. As an educator-the very 1st principle is know your
students and know their needs-in this way teachers can craft and utilize strategies that will help learners learn, develop and from their learnings they can come up with and interact with the real-life situations.
Teaching is an art that requires certain skills, knowledge, technique, and discipline of making others learn new things. The most important principles of teaching are to be passionate about it and help students to acquire the knowledge. It should be all about developing curiosity, knowledge, and a genuine love for learning in the students.
Apart from the basic principles of teaching effectively, one should also focus on good teaching. Because when a teacher combines the effective principles of teaching along with some strategies, the students will be able to learn more effectively.
These strategies will provide students with more opportunities and will also improve their performance. So, here are some ways that will help you to teach effectively. These include among others; Develop a sense of respect among the students, Visualize things, Work as a team, Encourage connection among students and faculty, give activate remarks, encourage energetic learning

I think this question about principles may be broken down into two sub questions:
1-Why do we teach?
My teaching principles in answer to this question are many: helping students' to live flourishing lives ( Reiss and White, 2013), to acquire "powerful Knowledge" which they cannot learn at home (Young, 2009), promoting social justice and critical consciousness (Freire, 1976), promoting democracy (check Apple, Englund), and transforming lives through an explanatory critique of what is desired but absent (Bhaskar).
-How do we teach?
My three principles would be good subject knowledge, good professional practice/pedagogy and excellent emotional engagement with students based on respect and non-discrimination so they are supported to enjoy and achieve.
Actually the best teaching method is based on the learners' needs and therefore we teachers should vary our pedagogy accordingly. That is why I think there is no something called 'the best way of teaching' because we always have different students having different learning abilities and objectives. Generally speaking, learner-based approach plays a great role in enhancing the target learners' performance. The teacher should be a facilitator, try encouraging his/her learners to structure and scafold the target piece of knowledge themselves to be more motivated to continue learning and be more confident. Additionally, Task-based learning is another effective approach in teaching which enables the practioners to encourage the SS work in teams and be more productive. In a nutshell, teachers should sheld light on the importance of keeping the SS motivated through having good rapport with them.
I start most classes with current events that engage students with a reason for learning and then apply that current event to the topic for the day. I think it helps keep people involved interested in the material.
You enter your classroom not like a teacher, but like a facilitator and guide the students to discover meaning by themselves. I think there you will find the true principle of teaching. These paradigms, theories and principles are the means, not the ends.
If you visit or search online sites there are more than 151 different teaching methods/principles, however, to me participatory approach, group discussion and student centered learning are the most effective principles.
Teaching principles are the basic criteria to be followed by the educator to make his or her teaching effective for students. For me, principles of teaching are as follows:
1. Principle of concept clarity: It will help me to understand the level of students so that i can deliver the concept in an effective way. I use to prepare the lesson that I have to take in class prior.
2. Principle of known to unknown: this helps me in building a base with students regarding the topic to be covered.
3. Principle of continuous feedback: while teaching the educator must take regular questioning so that it gives the educator a continuous feedback of their teaching
Firstly, it is important to know the level of the learners.
We should test prior knowledge and not only assume that they already know about topics which will be further developed.
The class should be learner centred with use of questioning.
There should be participation and interaction.
As a way to motivate low abilities ,I ask them questions which are easy. This, when they are able to reply, this boost their self esteem and they show more interest.
it depends on the level of the students, the teacher's expertise, and the educational and cultural background of the students and the teachers. however, for successful learning, collaborative learning, interaction, and task-based teaching are found very much effective.

Give students clear guidance on when and how to submit work, and stress the importance of devoting as much time as necessary to online components as in-person class activities. However, remember to keep a level head regarding the amount of time you'll need to devote to reading and assignments, whether you're taking the course in person or online.
Starting from the unknown to the known through question-and-answer section, has been very effective for me, it enables students to understand the subject matter better.
