Concrete demolition may be recycled in low grade concrete as coarse aggregate or in back-filling or embankment construction especially when it is used with soft soils.
Recycling can be achieved by crushing concrete members to the desired sizes and grading and reused for producing concrete.
Demolished concrete can be crushed with the help various available crushers like Jaw & Impact crushers which are widely used for recycling of the demolished concrete. Proven research have shown that the recycled aggregates can be used as natural aggregates by following specific methods and considerations. Even the recycled aggregates are being used for the structural purposes.
So for recycling of demolished concrete, the segregation is main problem as demolished waste contains lot of contaminants which should be separated at source only to get reliable quality aggregates for making concrete.
