An interesting question was asked. In my opinion this is an interesting question and it is very good that this question appeared on the research portal Research Gate. Knowledge of different types of research hypotheses is useful when designing different types of complex research processes.
As the name implies, the null hypothesis is statement in which there is no prediction; as a consequence, it is called no relationship hypothesis. Alternatively, the alternative or directional hypotheses reflect either a positive or negative direction. In majority of conditions, we should not use a positive directional hypothesis because such formulations are logically inconsistent ( see Best & Kahn, 2006). On this basis, alternative hypothesis is reached only when a null hypothesis is rejected. As for the framing , you can use positive framing if you like. For example: Drug A is similar to drug B (A=B).
