What are the things should be mentioned in a thesis about QTL?

I have identified QTLs but didn't look for candidate genes. The result section of my thesis seems short. What are the sections/things you recommend to put in the result section of a thesis when you only have detailed phenotypic studies done on parents and results of QTL studies from the population/RIL (I have repeated experiments done in different seasons)?
