What are the six factors responsible for the uneven distribution of temperature on the earth and does uneven heating of the Earth lead to wind currents?
The altitude of the place; Distance from the sea, the air-mass circulation the presence of warm and cold ocean currents and local aspects. Wind currents are formed due to uneven heating of earth. Due to uneven heating of the earth, hot and cold regions are formed. Air in the hot region rises creating a low pressure region; this creates a pressure difference which leads to formation of wind currents.
