To avoid misconduct in research activities in research institutions and universities, is crucial to adopt an ethical code of conduct. Some elements that should be included in an ethical code of conduct are following:
a) Be honest and adopt an ethical conduct, including ethical handling of current or apparent conflicts of interest between personal and professional relationships during the implementation of the research;
b) Comply with applicable government laws, rules and regulations in force in the field of the research, as well as at the university level;
c) Maintain the confidentiality of information entrusted to you during the implementation of all research activities;
d) Deal fairly with all participants in the research;
e) Provide information that is accurate, completely objective, relevant, timely and understandable to all competent national authorities duly authorised to request this information;
f) Proactively promote ethical behavior among all staff involved in the research, with the purpose to create a positive work environment within the research team; g) Protect and ensure the proper use of the institutional assets and carefully weighing against practices that may be linked to commercialisation or other hidden agendas not authorised by the national authorities responsible for the research;
h) Maintains the highest standards of professional conduct;
i) Assumes responsibility and accountability for individual judgments and actions; j) Gains and maintains proficiency of practice during the implementation of all research activities;
k) Participates in all efforts to establish, implement and improve standards in research practices at the university level;
) Contributes to the growth of professional knowledge in the field of the research;
m) Respects individual privacy and holds confidential all information obtained in the course of the research;
n) Maintains a cooperative, respectful relationship with other staff involved in the research;
The research should be actually applied and achieve results that can be used to tackle a realistic problem. And to bring an official letter from the organization that is undergoing research confirming that it has benefited from his research.
