Hello seniors. Please I am into software fault localization and I have read papers, but the experimental aspect has been giving a headache.
I have siemen suit, flex and grep subject program but I do not know the steps to take to generate the spectra.
Also i am able to write a simple program with C language and i am able to generate the Gcov. What should be the next step?
Can i get a complete guide on how to perform research experiment on spectrum based fault localization.

Just read some research papers and figure out how do they perform their experimental results.
Hiii Adekunle Ajibode, You have mentioned that you are able to generate the .gcov file for C programs right. Then try to write a script to parse the .gcov file to extract the statement level information. If #### sign present in front of any statement then that line is execuatble but at present, it is not executed for that particular test case. If you get any number >=1, then it shows the number of times that statement got executed for that test case. Or you will get -: sign that means that particular statement is not executable.
