Aplastic anemia is mainly caused by the failure of the bones to produce enough blood cells (red, white, and platelets). The reason is not yet discovered, but as Michael suggested, a dietary could help.
Indeed, freshly cooked food is recommended; raw food being best avoided due to the low White Blood cells and the resultant compromised defense system of the body. Boiled +/- filtered water is also advised.

1. Avoid any cheese which are "aged"
2. Consider consumption of pasteurised beverages.
3. Avoid non-pasteurised milk and other fermented home made drinks.
4. Avoid consumption of raw foods-e.g. vegetables in salads
5. Avoid raw /soft boiled eggs & raw vegetable sprouts
Since, the immune level in such patients is very low, we need to prevent any kind of infections.
