Sacrificing, isolation of mouse brain, separation of hippocampus and pre-frontal cortex: all seems to be possible with following necessary steps. But, in case of separating amygdala, it becomes very daunting task and can't be isolated properly.

I think that for dissecting amygdala you need to have a rat brain matrix and prepare a coronal section with sufficient thickness including the whole amygdala in AP axis. then, according to the Paxinos and Watson atlas, you can dissect the amygdala.
