You can also check out Open Data for Cities, which is managed by the World Council on City Data ( http://open.dataforcities.org/ ) You can categorize and rank your results by a number of parameters. It is not an exhaustive list by any means, but is gaining momentum as a tool in the urban planning world at the moment.
