Hi Pervaiz,...in addition to previous answer, I think Mg could appear as Mg3N2 or MgO peaks (it depends on the preparation). If there is MgO : A strong, broad band dominates the reflectivity spectrum of MgO, near 650 or 400 cm−1. If there is a Mg3N2, the peaks in 3360 - 3324 cm-1 could appear as N-H stretches. Boron nitrides peaks of FTIR (there are three representative peaks : at ~809, ~1,369, and ~1545 cm −1 )
