When studying about innovation we have to consider that there are two major streams of research: firm-level and industry-level. Although they are definitely related, the perspective and the findings from one does not exactly communicate with the other. Firm-level research is more focused on strategies while industry-level research is more focused on policy implications and contextual determinants. What may be other differences between them?
