I think you may want to ask them about the availability of community social support and what are their expectations for their children with autism. Most parents have varying degrees of expectations, some are realistic, other are not. You could explore these fronts in your research. I hope this helps?
I'd imagine many questions would have to do with access to improvement services like speech-language therapy and social skills trainings. So questions like "do you have reliable internet access," "can you travel far distances regularly to take your kid to programs," and "are you able to afford these services?"
Another set of challenges would probably be teaching behaviorly-appropriate coping mechanisms for sensory overload to these kids to better help them endure and engage in family and community activities.
