Its aim to know, lean implementation facilitator like lean training, lean philosophy, lean thinking....... if someone had research on some other relevant components for lean implementation, Iam humbly request it to share with me.
'Lean implementation' may cover a wide range of understanding in teh industry:
starting from having a few of popular lean tools (e.g. idea management, 5S visuals and audits, kanban, VSM, etc); or some workshops with a consultant, or
having a small lean or kaizen team of experienced industrial engineers, logistics experts, etc. who regularly solve problems, implement some of the lean tools in various production areas or product lines,
adding some advanced managerial behaviours (through trainings, coaching, etc), which changes daily routines of operations. Lean tools are not any more used because "we learned that we have to do a VSM/wastehunting/5S/etc to be lean" but the focus is on finding the appropriate action/countermeasure/tool answering a business problem. This is a step towards what I prefer to call:
behavioural lean - where the focus is improving management practices, behaviour so that the whole organisation turns to value creation (thus eliminating wastes).
(and perhaps my list is yet incomplete)
The first items on my list are the easy paths for management - they don't need to do much apart from allocating some budget for those events, consultants, or team. The results may be impressive with regards to the $ value saved, though, they are unlikely to last long. The latter approaches may start slower, and require more energy and consciousness from management - but on medium and long term our behaviours will determine how "lean" the company will be.
There are lots of books and articles on lean implementation. Could you please be more specific on which layer you are more interested - I am happy to share my experiences.
