There are no doubt others but five clear trends are shaping the future of work: (i) deepening penetration of organizations by social media; (ii) continuing emergence of new collaborative technologies; (iii) quickening mobility and online connections to work; (iv) the shift to the "cloud"; and (v) the coming of age of Millennials (who will soon make up the bulk of the workforce). Any organizational behavior research that examines these trends would be opportune and welcome.

The behavior in the 21st century organization is all about connections. The formal hierarchy are the prescribed connections. While the "wirearchy" are the emergent connections/networks that develop during the course of work. I recommend you read this article "An interpretation dl Management Colombian Fundamentals of thinking and administrative practice" You can find it in google academic and in this link: https://www.usbcali.edu.co/sites/default/files/08_management_colombiano .pdf
OB is a field constantly changing. There are no specific theories that could be argued to be the latest because the practices are drawn from a multidisciplinary area. But having said that Performance Management continue to dominate what most practitioners do. Thanks
