In developing countries like Nepal, large segments of the population still rely on firewood, LPG, diesel, and kerosene for cooking, irrigation, and transport. Despite growing access to clean electricity from hydropower, load-side electrification remains limited. I’m investigating the technical, economic, infrastructural, and behavioral barriers that prevent this transition—such as grid capacity, appliance availability, EV charging infrastructure, or energy pricing. Relevant case studies or frameworks would be very helpful.
