An integrated architectural design is considered an item to develop teamworking skills for professional practise. I’d to know the issues and models that used in architectural education.
Architectural design and architectural engineering are essentially integrated processes or disciplines that deal with various disciplines and items from civil and structural engineering to building physics, electrical and mechanical engineering to visual arts and philosophy, so on and so forth. My message is that architecture, architectural design and architectural engineering are all by definition integrated and interdisciplinary.
design model should be used to improve the form flexibility in the industrialized building systems designs. An integrated system of design model can be used for improve the form flexibility in IBS designs. The proposed model will help architects in understanding the relationship between building systems and their designs, and therefore, incorporate creativity and flexibility in IBS constructions.
IBS approach impeded the creation of a customer-oriented design. The coordination between spatial design and dimensioning of elements was poor and was not appropriately incorporated into the designing of spatial and functional space relations . The transportation of building components depends largely on the local conditions. For example, to be transportable, the component sizes should be designed in accordance with the carriageway. A systematic approach often limits the freedom of designers, notably architects. Besides the standardization of building components, IBS should be able to develop compatible systems that can integrate building components with the spatial design. To improve and enhance the potential outcomes of IBS, an approach involving system thinking, we should be integrated with form flexibility during the architectural design process.
Nirmala S.V.S.G 's article including coverage of GOC gap of changes translation between say technology and the design language is important, essentially highlighting the importance of communication and modes of communication. Akram J. Al-Akkam 's emphasis upon education as a medium for integrating the discipline outlined above, such as structural mechanics and architectural design is also important and can be achieved via integrated assignments where students from different disciplines collaborate in a grand project encouraging teamwork cross fertilisation and inter disciplinary understanding. Technologically, Jaydip Datta is right about the role of computers and AutoCAD, plus there are many more integrated technologies that can assist with the design and mangement process, for instance assessing whole life costing, carbon contribution and air tightness testing. In this respect BIM is yet to fully take off. Coupled with this are VR, VR and Mixed Reality as aids to integration. Modern contracts are all about teamwork too, where job titles change, there is greater equality, sharing of responsibilities and risk and many parties contribute say to design, especially where modern contracts are of increasing complexity to address modern world situations.
Nowadays, our practice of architectural education could be considered inadequate when compared to conferences, forums on theory, history, building physics, structural design, computers in architecture, and especially the design of the built environment/space. The constantly changing, developing and diversifying labour organizations, fields of study, tools and methods of technology in design, construction and communication have given rise to a rapid change within the practice and profession of architecture. The appreciation and perception of architecture and its modes of thinking are also affected by the enforcement of this paradigm offering rapid change. The priorities in education should be redefined and new pedagogies should be introduced due to the continuously changing framework of new values and ideas and enhancing formations, skills and tools.
