It is becoming more and more certain that globalization is not just purely an economical phenomenon; it is exhibiting itself on a worldwide level. Amid globalization’s observable appearances, the most obvious are the larger international mobility of goods and services flows of finance capital, data, and information, and most importantly people. So I am interested to conduct research on the implications of globalization on sustainability.

I wonder whether by sustainability you mean environmental, economic, social or institutional sustainability
In terms of environmental sustainability, globalisation has led to over mining, over utilisation of ground water, loss of green cover (conversion of agriculture and forests for other purposes). This is because not just national capital but global capital is flowing into countries, and supporting unsustainability.
In terms of economic sustainability we have seen how a virus in in one province of one country has affected the global economy because of globalisation of economy, and movement of people across the world. Number of poor is rising, and so may number of malnourished. It is true that gains were made in reduction of number of poor and food insecure over the last two decades- but it may not be sustainable.
Social sustainability is another issue, we saw health and education indicators improving globally, but now post COVID-19 things are taking a back seat. As yet we do not know the full adverse implications. That is, there is no sustainability of social gains over the last few decades. Discrimination on the basis of occupation and disease is on the rise!
With globalization, value chains and collective development emerged and institutional sustainability is another issue with producer groups, micro finance groups, water user groups, federations of SHGs etc not able to meet and run viably (repayments, savings, user fees etc).
The 2020 Human Development Report is looking at "Human Development in the Anthropocene: Transformations to Expand Human Freedoms in Balance with the Planet". It touches on issues of sustainability in the context of globalisation. http://hdr.undp.org/en/towards-hdr-2020

It has both negative and positive implications on sustainability; On the one hand it encourages free flow of goods and services that sometimes adversely affects domestic industries and other sectors. Free flow of knowledge and information, on the other, can help make decision that would prompt sustainable growth and development.

In this essay, I contend that globalization is less an international process and more a colonial project. I argue that definitions of “globalization” articulated primarily through economic metrics insufficiently account for the violences concomitant with such a project. In response to this insufficiency, I draw on three concepts by three decolonial authors—transmodernity (Enrique Dussel), global coloniality (Aníbal Quijano), and dialogical cosmopolitanism (Eduardo Mendieta)—in order to develop my own definition of globalization. I then offer a preliminary sketch of what I call “affective alternatives,” which could convey ways of life different from the hegemonic social forms that globalization promotes and imposes. At the very least, affective alternatives present a parallax: seen and felt from the perspective of the alternative, globalization is not taken as neutral, normal, irreversible, or desired; rather, it is “distorted” into globalization/coloniality, a project to be resisted. I conclude with reflections on connecting and deepening coalitions of resistance.
