we generaly uses the diffrent acid like sulphuric, phasphoric, peroxide,HCl and solvents for washing like water,ethanol, and for cougulartion as ether,what are the diffrnt functions of these solvents and acid in GO synthesis process.
Please , tells or suggest me the proper article where i can read all these.

Acids like sulfuric acid are on the one hand solvents and on the other hand oxidation agents (introduce oxygen). It is difficult to get an homogeneous solution of compounds like graphite, so such harsh conditions have to be chosen to perform a chemical reaction (in this case: oxidation of the carbon to epoxides, alkohols and carboxylic acids).
