Could anyone please inform me the fractal dimension and topological dimension of a hyperbolic paraboloid? So far, I thought that the hyperbolic paraboloid is a 2-dimensional surface having geometric dimension (topological as well as fractal dimensions) 2.0. But, later I found that the hyperbolic paraboloid is a part of the conicoids family that are 3-dimensional. In some places it is mentioned that the hyperbolic paraboloid is a 3-dimensional surface. I need a clear picture of the dimensional property of a hyperbolic paraboloid surface. Thanks !
