I am a Nursing Academic Educator so I will not be able to respond to your question in relation to teacher education. While I have used participatory action research in my research endeavours, I have not had the privilege to teach a course on this in post secondary education.

We are currently working on a book chapter that focuses on the experiences of Filipino professors handling action research in teacher education curricula, and I am actually looking for teachers who could help us in data triangulation. But if you are willing to share your experiences, you are very much welcome to do so for us to discuss in the academic community. Maybe in the future also, I can collaborate with you and write an article on teachers' experiences in teaching action research with an international scope.

I really appreciate your time in responding to the questions I indicated. I just wish that our study could have been extended abroad. I just realized that a number of countries have been integrating action research in different curricula but are not yet documented. In the Philippines, particularly in teacher education, most universities are still in the first or second year of implementing the new curricula.

I am very much happy to hear from you. I really wish that you are all here teaching action research in the Philippines. You may still give your responses for discussion of the academic community. Based on my previous research, I found out that Canada has adequate policies and programs regarding action research in array of disciplines. It motivated me to propose a study in our country to investigate technology integration, pedagogical practices, and course contents in the teaching of action research of Canadian Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) to inform policies and programs in the Philippines. However, it is not approved for some reasons.

I am teaching Research in Education. The subject is part of the Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEED) in CHED Curriculum in the Philippines. As an Associate Professor, I feel confident teaching the subject because I am also engaged in research and I share my journey in writing, presenting, and publishing researches to my tertiary students. I guide my students in the formulation of the research title down to the references and appendices. I know, it will be difficult for other teachers who will be handling research subjects in higher education without experience in the conduct of research. The tendency is, the Research Teacher will ask their students to look for their respective Research Advisers to guide them in their individual or group research. I still believe in the old saying: You cannot give what you do not have. Thanks.
