What are the factors that effects lead adsorption other than particle size. I prepared nanosized material of iron, tin and titina and respective particle size were 7,10 and 20 nm. But adsorption pattern was not same as expected i-e small particle had more adsorption.
Adsorbate-adsorbent contact time, pH of the medium, concentration of adsorbate, concentration of adsorbent and temperature are the predominating factors other than particle size for all kind of adsorption phenomena occurred in solution or suspension or colloid phase.
is there any contribution of pore volume or pore size of the particles. I have to explain the following query

It is not always true that smaller size nanoparticles will have higher adsorption capacities. It depends on uniformity of particles, active sites and surface functionalities. Check some recent literature on Pb(II) adsorption:
